For this project we chose an excerpt from a work and designed a short book for it. The excerpt I used from Chris Cleave's Little Bee tells the story of a woman and her young son at her husband's funeral. The child does not understand death or where his father is, and the story is told from the mother's point of view as she tries to control him. I used two typefaces: Gill Sans and Garamond. Garamond, a sensible serifed font, is always used for the mother's voice, while the child shouts in Gill Sans.
